About KarenCollum
Karen Collum is a primary teacher-turned-writer and mother of 3.5 children (a baby girl is due in December) including a set of two-year-old identical twin boys. She is passionate about filling children with hope for the future and the importance of teaching optimistic thinking skills strategies to help children navigate through this wonderful thing called life. She is a certified trainer in the optimism program Bright Ideas and helped develop a pilot program for teaching optimistic thinking skills to children in foster care and their families. Karen’s debut picture book SAMUEL’S KISSES is due for release later this year with New Frontier Publishing and is of course, a beautiful celebration of the power of optimism.
