Confessions from My Home Office - Decluttering and Laughing

By Yvette Vignando - 22nd July 2011

I work from home most of the time, in a reasonably sized home office. We have three kids and I get very very busy - so busy that I tend to dump things in piles and then occasionally get back to the piles for a cleanout. I bet most people who work from home have a similar challenge - and eventually it all gets too much.

Well, I solved my problem with quite a few hours of work and a lot of fun with Sarah Cottman from Heavenly Order - she came and worked alongside me, and laughed alongside me while we cleared out endless small notebooks, and more paper than I realised I had. This is the video we shot straight afterwards, still with a few post-it notes stuck to shelves - I wanted to share this for all you suffering home office people - I feel so much lighter now.

And we made places for our kids to have their homework "stuff" in my office which has also made that aspect of the mess easier to control.
