What is the relationship between happychild and Room to Read?
Room to Read is an international non-profit organisation seeking to transform the lives of millions of children in developing countries by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education. Working in collaboration with local communities, partner organisations and governments, Room to Read develops literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children, and support girls to complete secondary school with the relevant life skills to succeed in school and beyond.
Part of our vision at happychild is to support a charity that enhances the wellbeing and happiness of children, and supports their opportunities for fulfilling their potential. Room to Read's work fits this description perfectly. As happychild grows its community we'll be keeping visitors and subscribers informed about the work of Room to Read and supporting the work by the Sydney Chapter of Room to Read.
