How Parents Can Meet the Social and Emotional Needs of Their Baby

By Lynn Jenkins - 28th November 2013

Apart from having necessary physical needs to be met, human babies have social and emotional needs, that when fulfilled, teach them how to interact with people, connect and form trusting relationships with others, and understand their own and other's emotions.

The foundation for these skills start to develop from infancy. This video offers simple guidance for parents on how to lay the foundations for lifelong social and emotional learning.

Produced by Lynn Jenkins – clinical psychologist, and author of Best Start – a book about how babies develop sense of self, emotional regulations and parental influences as children develop.
